With big partnerships—like becoming the official golf cart provider for the Indianapolis Colts—and influencer collaborations, the company is off to an ambitious start. But as exciting as a shiny new brand can be, it’s worth taking a closer look at the potential downsides before you commit to buying.
EA Carts Product Offerings
EA Carts offers a range of models designed to cater to various customer needs:
- EA4F: Features four front-facing seats, ideal for group travel.
- EA4R: Offers two front-facing and two rear-facing seats that convert into a flat storage hauler, suitable for family outings or transporting supplies.
- EA4X4: A four-wheel-drive model designed for more rugged terrains. (Pricey!)
- EA6R: Accommodates six passengers with convertible rear seats for additional storage.
A Brand-New Player in a Crowded Market
Let’s face it—starting fresh can be both exciting and risky. EA Carts is competing with long-established brands like Club Car, Yamaha, EZGO, Evolution, which have decades of experience, a loyal customer base, and proven product quality. Plus a few others that also ship nationwide such as GolfCartsUSA, GOAT Golf Carts, Golf Carts of Cypress, Backyard Escapism, GolfCarts.com, and Winters Recreation. EA Carts, by comparison, hasn’t had the time to prove its durability, reliability, or ability to deliver consistent quality.
What does this mean for you if you buy from EA Carts?
- Without long-term customer reviews, it’s tough to gauge how EA Carts’ golf carts will hold up over time.
- In a market where reputation matters, it’s hard to know if EA Carts will deliver on its promises or adapt quickly to customer needs.
We did find some reviews on EACarts
- The few reviews we did find online all seemed to be satisfied customers.
- There are seven reviews on their Facebook page (although two of the seven were from a husband and wife) so that makes it six reviews. But the good news is that all of these reviews seem to be from real customers, not fake bots like USAGolfCarts google reviews (hint: sort by lowest rating first…). And not to get off topic, but since the date of my review of GolfCartsUSA, they have since deleted all their facebook reviews.
But hey, they ARE good reviews. So you gotta give it to them for a solid start in the space!
2. Customer Support: A Work in Progress
Because EA Carts is so new, its customer service system is likely still evolving. This could mean challenges for you down the road if issues arise with your cart.
Potential concerns:
- Limited Infrastructure: As the company grows, its ability to handle warranty claims or part replacements might be stretched thin. It’s costly to ship carts if they have to have it back at their location for repair.
- With imported golf carts from China, like EACarts does, it takes some time for the breakages to happen. Addressing these issues takes a lot of work and I’ve found that not readily available parts can take months to get over to the states, which could delay your repair. It does seem like they are pretty straight up guys, however, so communication goes a long ways in these situations.
- Dealer Network Gaps: EA Carts is planning to expand its locations, but until that happens, service options in some areas could be limited. If you live in California but ordered from their Indiana location, it could prove hard to get any warranty or service work done. A lot of local golf cart dealers don’t like to work on the China import carts.
For buyers, this means you could face longer wait times for repairs or difficulty finding a nearby service center.
3. Long-Term Questions
While EA Carts is full of ambition, its future remains uncertain. Building a sustainable business in a competitive market isn’t easy, and there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Competing with the Big Players: Established brands already dominate the golf cart market. EA Carts will need to work hard to carve out a niche.
- Product Development: Will EA Carts keep up with evolving customer needs and technology? Only time will tell.
- Economic Factors: In an uncertain economy, small and new businesses often face challenges that could impact their operations—and their customers.
4. What About Quality?
EA Carts has some appealing features, like premium seats, push-button start, LED water resistant displays, and off-road options like the new EA4X4 model with the heavy price tag pushing $20,000 😮 (And this does add more components for potential failures, especially when taking it offroad). But without a track record, there’s no way to confirm how well these features actually perform.
Key concerns:
- Durability: How well will EA Carts’ materials hold up over time? Are they built to handle wear and tear or tough weather conditions?
- Off-Road Capabilities: The EA4X4 model sounds promising, but there’s no real-world feedback yet to prove it can deliver on those promises.
5. Should You Buy Now or Wait?

- Do Your Research: Reach out to EA Carts to ask questions about warranties, support, and service options. Be thorough!
- Compare Alternatives: Established brands may offer more peace of mind, especially if reliability and long-term support are important to you.
